Robison Smiles was the fifth Orthodontic practice we visited, on the recommendation of a friend. Because our child has special needs, many of the treatment plans proposed to us previously seemed overwhelming and intimidating. When we met Dr. R, it was obvious that he truly understood our child's sensitivities and anxieties, and that he was going to work very hard and think creatively to address his orthodontic needs while making him feel as comfortable and secure as possible. Dr. R anticipated exactly the parts of the process that could be scary or uncomfortable for our son, and found amazing ways to support him and put him at ease every step of the way. Dr. R custom designed an innovative removable appliance to correct our son's cross-bite with minimal "hardware" in his mouth. Because our son would not have tolerated the typical process of making the mold, Dr. R opted to use a digital scanner to make a 3D model to create the appliance. He even added cherry flavoring to the freshly adjusted appliance so that my son couldn't smell/taste the fresh acrylic. I could go on and on! His patience and understanding have made this whole process so much more positive than we ever imagined it could be. The rest of the office staff has been wonderful as well. I just can't say enough good things! We are so glad we found Dr. Robison!
