The facility is a nice place for a few rounds of squash. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the water fountains near the squash courts is always nicely chilled and refreshing (it's the small things that count)! Finding it for the first time can be a bit tricky, as it is tucked away and requires crossing either a wooden bridge or the Baltimore Light Rail to access.
I’ve been a member for 10 years. This place feels like home. Nothing fancy but plenty of classes, good equipment. It’s a bit frustrating to work around squash tournaments when the place fills up with entitled teens and their Roland park helicopter parents but that’s only a few times a year.
Without a doubt the best squash scene in Baltimore, and probably in the country. Somehow does not feel like an elitist sport here. They have free clinics for beginners, which makes it easy to meet players who are also just starting out. And League nights and pros for lessons for the seriously addicted. There's everything you could need in the free weight area. I can't comment on the cardio machines, because why would you do that to yourself when you can play squash!?
