Went in for a wisdom tooth that had cracked. I was in a great deal of pain and scared because my other dentist told me that this tooth would have some complications coming out. Dr. Romanow was so very empathetic and comforting. I really thought I would need to be knocked out to tolerate the removal. He assured me that he could get me comfortable with just a local. Because of the pain I had been dealing with, I agreed and within a few minutes, I was being numbed up. The extraction itself took less than 2 minutes and I didn't hear the loud and forceful cracking nor feel the tremendous pressure in my jaw that I had felt with other extractions at another practice. He was gentle, yet highly effective and I felt so silly for being terrified. His assistant was a very kind and compassionate woman. Made me feel better to know that these two had my back if what the other dentist warned me about had happened, Prior to the procedure, he took the time to go over my panoramic x-ray and discuss what needed to be done in the future and gave me some options to think about. I highly recommend this practice. 10 hrs after surgery, pain and swelling are both minimal. $ Bill was half of what I expected it to be aslo. What's not to love? Sometimes having to visit an oral surgeon is a necessary evil....This experience has me confident that oral surgery is no longer a barbaric thing and it does not have to be put off due to fear!
