Five in our group went to Brewgrass 2018. We've been to several and had such a great time in the past. We all agreed this year was a complete disappointment. It started when we didn't get the customary souvenir glass. We really like our glass collection and are very sad that the pattern is broken. It got worse when we sampled the beers. Overall the flavors were very odd and not tasty. I believe I actually consumed less than one plastic cup of beer the whole day. I kept trying the offerings and not liking what was available. There were too many sour beers, for example. I felt like I was in the test kitchen of these breweries. The food was the typical buffet fare of average quality. My favorite buffet item was the jambalaya. That was good, but did not justify the 50 bucks I spent. We all wondered what delicious items and beverages we could have enjoyed if we simply pooled $250 and spent it the way we wanted. Please put more thought into balancing the flavors of the beers and making sure that some already-popular products are available.
