Arnold Overlook by D.R. Horton America's Builder

I've owned several homes, with this being the second one I purchased brand new. I purchased a Covington model at their Arnold Overlook location, just outside of Annapolis, Maryland. It is a great location, five minutes away from quaint, historic Annapolis. Arnold Overlook is convenient to lots of great shopping, dining, and other activities... close to everything, but private and secluded on its own. First, D.R. Horton's homes are beautiful. I looked at each of the models available at the Arnold Overlook location, and they all looked great, both from street and inside. Further, once inside, I quickly noticed the excellent workmanship. The houses were very well built and the fit and finish were great, all the way down to door seams that were totally square and caulking that was clean and neat. As for customer service, I've seen none better than what I experienced at DR Horton. I worked primarily with Karen; but, Collin was great, as well. They were both courteous, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the houses. And when there were questions for which they needed to reach out to one of the construction managers, loan processors, etc., the follow-up was always very prompt. I was so impressed by the great service, I used DR Horton's financing, and even their settlement services, all of which were equally as smooth and flawless. How smooth and flawless? They managed to settle my purchase in just (16) business days, which, with the complexity of the mortgage loan process today, is simply incredible. Obviously, that's not a commitment they can make to every borrower; but, that's how quickly they got it done for me, and yet another example of how smoothly things went. Follow-up has been great, too. We did a pre-settlement walk-through, a settlement day walk-through, and another walk-through ten days following settlement. As well built as the homes are, most of the walk-through items were just questions I had. Also a quick final note: I'm the third buyer at the Arnold Overlook location. Prior to writing a contract to buy my new home, I knocked on the doors of the other two families who had already moved in and asked them about their experience with DR Horton. They were both very happy buyers, as well. Overall, I could not be happier with the purchase of my DR Horton home. The homes are great. The customer service is great. Most homeowners know how stressful buying a house can be. I am happy to report that the DR Horton team has made this a very pleasant experience for me, and I'm now moved in, and looking forward to many happy years at Arnold Overlook.
